Our infrastructure is designed to provide multiple layers of security for both the Sonar Legal application and the knowledge base.
Application Hosting
- Primary Hosting: Our application is hosted on Google Cloud.
- Server Access: Servers can only be accessed through an encrypted SSH connection secured with a strong password.
- Data Backups: Backups are performed on an hourly basis and securely stored on Google Cloud servers.
- Dedicated Hosting for Enterprise: Dedicated hosting options are available in our enterprise plan.
Knowledge Base Hosting
By default, Sonar Legal provides all users with access to a comprehensive knowledge base hosted on secure Google Cloud servers. This default knowledge base contains a wide range of generic legal clauses and templates to support your drafting needs.
Clients also have the option to substitute the default knowledge base with their own customized version. This flexibility allows you to choose a hosting solution that best meets your security and data isolation requirements:

Standard Hosting: Host your knowledge base on Google cloud servers with row-level security. This option ensures your data benefits from robust protection while remaining easily accessible.

Client-Hosted Option: Opt to host your knowledge base within your own secure environment. By managing the hosting on your own servers, you gain full control over data storage and security practices.

Dedicated Hosting for Enterprise: For clients needing enhanced security and strict data isolation, we offer a dedicated hosting solution. In this arrangement, your knowledge base is hosted on a dedicated server exclusively for your organization.
Users are strongly advised not to store clauses containing sensitive data in the knowledge base.
